Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva (GUANSHIYIN PUSA)

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is one of the best known Bodhisattvas in Buddhism. Widely venerated by many as the embodiment of mercy and universal compassion, a Bodhisattva who hears the pleas for help from those in distress or suffering in the world. Because of her vows to save all beings and lead them to the path of enlightenment, she will always bring us across the sea of woes safely without fail.

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is like a benevolent mother, who treats all beings as her own without any discrimination. As such, she is the focus of worship by the Mahayana Buddhist community for her kindness and loving concern for all living beings.

观世音菩萨

阿瓦洛格第索拉（Avalokitesvara）是佛教里最有名的菩萨之一。观世音菩萨被广泛的崇敬为慈悲的体现，她聆听世间受苦受难的众生所发出的求救声。她立誓要救度众生并引领众生迈向证悟之道，因此她能无误的将我们从轮回大海中平安的带往彼岸。

观世音菩萨像是一位仁慈的母亲，她对一切有情众生一视同仁。因此，她对所有众生的慈爱怜悯使她成为了大乘佛教徒的主要的膜拜对象

COMMEMORATION DAYS

There are three commemorative days for valokitesvara Bodhisattva that are observed by the Mahayana Buddhist community in a year. The 19th day of the 2nd lunar month is celebrated by many as her birthday; the 19thday of the 6th lunar month is widely commemorated as her Enlightenment Day; while the 19th day of the 9th lunar month is observed as her Renunciation Day. This is based on the life of Princess Miao Shan as one of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva’s manifestations which is widely believed by the Chinese.

观世音菩萨在一年内有三个纪念日是被大乘佛教徒所遵守的。农历2月19日是观世音菩萨的生日，农历6月19日是她的证悟日，农历9月19日是她的出家日。这是根据妙善公主的生平而定，而妙善公主被华族广泛地认为是观世音菩萨的化身之一。
